Derrick Coleman Jr. is deaf, but you’d never know it by watching him on the football field. The first legally deaf offensive player in the NFL, Coleman lost his hearing as a small child. After a childhood trying to fit in, Coleman found football and became a high school, then college star. But becoming one of the few college players to make the leap to the NFL wasn’t enough, Coleman has used his celebrity to start the No Excuses Foundation which helps deaf children deal with their disabilities.
